The basic nature of human beings is compassionate, says His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. According to him, the fundamental nature of every human being is love. I believe the 8 billion human beings are interconnected with Nature in their core based on this fundamental value of love, and undeniably Nature itself is the source of this undying love and compassion for every living being in this planet. Every child is born with this seed of love with them, love for nature, love for every other life form. In fact, every living being is connected in the web of life based on this intrinsic bond of love which is nestled deep within them. However, the privilege of expressing this core value of Nature remained with the Homo sapiens at its best. I feel, humanity owe the responsibility to unfailingly shoulder it’s role in exploring diverse ways to nurture this basic value of love. Humanity must never forget the fact that it’s abilities are all gifted by Nature itself, we are nothing but a part of this world. It is our utmost duty to uphold the intrinsic bond of Nature with all life forms, it is our prerogative to reconnect humanity with Nature over and again.
Be it biodiversity conservation, wildlife conservation, environment protection, and so on, all these are various ways invented by human minds to empower this very interconnectedness of human beings with Nature. These are ways to logically validate the seed of love embedded within us all. Let this seed breath, let this seed spread it’s roots, lets learn ways to nurture this seed. Let love and compassion be the way forward.
